Privacy Policy

This page explains the privacy principles intended to apply to Wfunded and the handling of information associated with the platform.

Last updated: August 2026
Prototype Policy Notice

Wfunded is currently in prototype development. This privacy policy is a draft framework for the website and should be reviewed and adapted by qualified legal and privacy professionals before a live service collects real customer information.

01

Overview

Wfunded is intended to respect the privacy of users and protect personal information using appropriate technical, organizational and security measures.

The exact information collected and the legal basis for processing it will depend on the final services offered, the locations of users, and the legal requirements that apply to Wfunded.

02

Information We May Collect

Depending on the services available, Wfunded may need to collect information such as:

  • Name and contact information.
  • Email address and telephone number.
  • Residential address and country of residence.
  • Account profile and authentication information.
  • Identity verification information where legally required.
  • Transaction and account activity records.
  • Support communications.
  • Device, browser and security-related information.
  • Information required to meet applicable compliance obligations.
Passwords and sensitive authentication information should never be stored in readable plain text.
03

How Information May Be Used

Personal information may be processed for legitimate purposes connected with operating the Wfunded platform, including:

  • Creating and maintaining user accounts.
  • Authenticating users and protecting accounts.
  • Providing platform services and customer support.
  • Maintaining transaction and account records.
  • Preventing fraud, misuse and unauthorized access.
  • Meeting legal, regulatory and compliance obligations.
  • Improving platform reliability and user experience.
  • Communicating important account or service information.
04

Identity Verification & Compliance

If Wfunded offers services for which customer identity verification is required, additional information may need to be collected for identity, anti-fraud, anti-money-laundering or similar compliance processes.

Verification information should be handled only through systems specifically designed and secured for sensitive customer data.

05

How Information May Be Shared

Wfunded should not sell personal data merely because an individual creates an account. Information may, however, need to be shared with appropriate service providers or authorities where necessary to operate the platform or satisfy applicable law.

This could include carefully selected infrastructure providers, payment or custody partners, identity-verification providers, professional advisers, fraud-prevention services, and public authorities where legally required.

06

Security

Appropriate security measures should be used to protect account and personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss and misuse.

  • Encrypted communications.
  • Secure authentication.
  • Strong password controls.
  • Multi-factor authentication where appropriate.
  • Protected databases and infrastructure.
  • Access controls and audit logging.
  • Security monitoring and incident response procedures.
The current public GitHub Pages prototype must not be used to store real passwords, KYC documents, banking information or customer financial records.
07

Data Retention

Personal information should be retained only for as long as required for the purposes for which it was collected, including applicable legal, accounting, security, dispute-resolution and regulatory requirements.

08

Cookies & Analytics

Wfunded may use cookies or similar technologies for essential site functions, authentication, security, preferences and analytics.

Where applicable law requires consent for particular cookies or tracking technologies, suitable consent controls should be provided before those technologies are activated.

09

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on a user's location and applicable privacy laws, individuals may have rights regarding their personal information. These may include rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data, as well as other statutory rights.

The exact rights and procedures should be specified once the jurisdictions in which Wfunded operates are established.

10

International Data Processing

If information is processed across national borders, Wfunded should use appropriate safeguards required by applicable privacy laws and clearly explain relevant international processing arrangements.

11

Children's Privacy

Wfunded is not intended to provide financial services to children. Age requirements for any live service should be defined according to applicable laws and product requirements.

12

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the Wfunded platform develops, services change or legal requirements evolve. Material updates should be communicated appropriately to users.

13

Contact & Privacy Requests

A dedicated privacy contact method should be provided before the platform begins collecting real customer information. Users should be able to submit privacy questions or exercise applicable data rights through a clear and secure process.
